Martell Webster Game Worn Minnesota Timberwolves Jersey

The examination consisted of a systematic assessment of the jersey’s materials, construction, professional customization, tagging configuration and documented provenance. The adidas ClimaCool mesh body, Minnesota Timberwolves road-uniform design, layered twill lettering and numeral, NBA branding, size 2XL+4 designation, handwritten “5,” “10–11” and “SET 1” equipment annotations, and NBA inventory label were examined for consistency with a jersey professionally prepared for Martell Webster during the 2010–11 NBA season. The jersey’s physical characteristics were evaluated together with the accompanying Minnesota Timberwolves Team Letter of Authenticity signed by the team’s equipment manager. This team-issued documentation was considered as direct supporting provenance for the jersey’s preparation and game-worn classification. The physical and documentary examination was supplemented by a PhotoMatchForensics comparison with in-game photographs showing Webster against the Phoenix Suns on December 15, 2010. Independent comparison sets were created for the “MIN,” “NES” and “OTA” sections of the front “MINNESOTA” wordmark and the front number “5.” The photographic analysis focused on the shape, construction and alignment of the applied lettering and numeral in relation to the underlying mesh fabric. Particular attention was given to the number, spacing, orientation and relative position of mesh perforations visible above, below, between and within the applied elements. Image resolution, viewing angle, lighting, fabric curvature, garment tension and player movement were considered during the evaluation. A total of 18 corresponding match points were documented across the independent comparison areas. The final assessment was based on the combined agreement of these photographic identifiers, the period-correct physical characteristics, professional tagging and signed team provenance. No material contradiction was identified.

The examined jersey displays the materials, professional construction, customization and tagging expected of a Minnesota Timberwolves game jersey prepared for Martell Webster during the 2010–11 NBA season. These points consist primarily of independently positioned mesh-perforation patterns maintaining identical relationships to the surrounding stitched edges of the front “MINNESOTA” wordmark and number “5.” The collective agreement of 18 photographic identifiers across multiple independent comparison areas, together with the period-correct construction, professional tagging and signed Team LOA, provides compelling and mutually reinforcing evidence. No conflicting characteristic was observed within the photographically visible areas. PhotoMatchForensics therefore concludes that the examined jersey is authentic and is the same individual garment worn by Martell Webster against the Phoenix Suns on December 15, 2010.
